I’ve probably written a post about this in the past, but whatever. Newsflash: I don’t care.
Why do people feel the need to prove themselves to other people?
So many people are unable to fully enjoy their lives because they are, in part, living it for other people. That’s tremendously disappointing.
People tend to look forward to some sort of eventual happiness, which they expect to arrive after the full expenditure of the present. Right now is the only certain thing.
“After I get through this, I can enjoy that.”
That’s horsesh*t.
Enjoy this. Then, enjoy that too.
Nobody knows what the future brings. Nobody knows how much time they have left. Rather than living for the future, live for now (but still plan ahead for the future a wee bit so you aren’t totally effed when it comes to retirement).
Until next time,
