I think it’s time that I acknowledge something I’ve been feeling for a really long time but haven’t publicly spoken about for fear of getting cyberbullied. It’s something that I’ve been feeling for as long as I can remember but haven’t had the guts to tell people.
Ok—here goes nothing:
People who watch Friends are stupid.
Phew.
It feels like a gigantic weight has just floated off my chest.
You know what? I’m doubling down on this—people who watch Friends are REALLY stupid.
Man, it feels so good to be honest about this.
Look, of course there are some funny moments in Friends (at least, in the very few episodes that I’ve actually seen), but overall, I look down on people who consider themselves “fans” of Friends.
Whenever I see someone wearing a Friends t-shirt, I immediately think, “yep—that’s a stupid one. That’s a stupid person.”
The characters? Stupid.
The laugh-track? Stupid.
The stories? Stupid.
The costume-design? Meh.
The fans? Really, really, stupid.
It’s a show by stupid people, for stupid people (and, funny enough, ABOUT stupid people).
It’s trash. Crap.
Don’t watch Friends. If you do watch Friends, especially if you consider yourself to be a “fan” of Friends, I’m warning you now that you shouldn’t tell me, because I’m not holding back on a go-forward basis.
If you tell me about how much you like Friends, I’m going to make you feel super small. I’ll insult you with everything I have, because I don’t care anymore.
People who watch Friends are STUPID.
