Well, smoking on trains is now legal, according to the man sitting next to me.
Forget everything you thought you knew about smoking laws—none of them apply anymore.
See all those NO SMOKING signs that litter the walls of the train? Those might as well be gibberish, because smoking? Totally cool, AND totally legal on trains apparently.
Truly, I don’t mind it. I am so pro-smoker rights that it’s ridiculous. I think you should be allowed to smoke in schools and in hospitals. I think you should be allowed to smoke anywhere you’re allowed to BE. PERIOD.
That being said, though I hate the law, and though I do struggle to change the law, I DESPISE anyone who breaks the law.
SHAME.
