Today, after grabbing my morning coffee, I saw two youngsters preparing for a fisticuffs in the middle of the street.
Neither had taken a swing yet, but they were both holding up their fists and hurling hurtful words at each other while a crowd (of fellow youngsters) cheered them on.
The group consisted primarily of (approximately) 15-year-olds.
Myself being the nearest adult (though only by a few years their senior), I knew I had to intervene. I had to restore the peace by ending this fight before it could begin. I watched cautiously as the two young men continued squaring up.
I breathed in heavily. Here we go.
Then, I turned and walked in the opposite direction.
Until next time,
