Why is it called the “bathroom?”
People, on average, pee and poo way more than they actually bathe in the bathroom.
Why isn’t it called the “pee/poo-room” instead of the “bathroom?”
Think about it, have you ever bathed in a public “bathroom,” literally EVER? Most of us haven’t, and those of us who actually have probably have much bigger things to worry about than why the bathroom is called the “bathroom.”
Same thing with “powder room.” There’s almost never any powder in the “powder room.”
We should just start calling all these rooms the “toilet rooms,” because this applies universally. You can’t call it the “urinal room,” because only 50% of bathrooms have a urinal, but 100% of bathrooms have a toilet.
We’re so inconsistent.
We need consistency, or we’ll never make it as a species.
