I guess today is as good a day as any to make a huge announcement.
Although, today’s actually probably a better day than most days to make a huge announcement.
You see, today is Saturday.
Depending on your career status, you’re probably off today. Most people are off on Saturday, but not all people. Some people work in retail. Many of them are NOT fortunate enough to be off today like the rest of us. Others work in the restaurant business; that’s probably even worse, because people tend to go out a whole bunch on Saturday, on account of lots of them are off on Sunday too.
Not everybody is off on Sunday either, though.
Lots of times, the same people who work on Saturday have to work on Sunday too, which is a shame, because people don’t go out on Sunday too much, so how much business can you really drum up, when you think about it?
Sunday tends to be more of a “take it easy” type-day.
I mean, it really depends, I guess. If you’re off Monday, you might as well go out and kick it on Sunday night, right? What do you have to lose? You can sleep in if you want (unless you have a non-work commitment that you have to wake up for, like Monday morning sunrise-fishing, but that’s actually fun and you probably won’t mind waking up early for that because it’s a for-fun type situation rather than a for-work thing).
If we were all off on the weekend, nationally, we’d all be able to go out and kick it on Friday and Saturday nights.
Actually, scratch that. If we’re all off, there’s really nowhere to go on Friday and Saturday nights.
I don’t know; it’s a tough one.
How do we make it so we’re all off on the weekend, yet we still have people working our night-life hotspots?
Volunteer-workers?
Robots?
Child-laborers?
We need to figure this out. ASAP. That means NOW.
