If US Marines are members of “The Few and The Proud,” I suppose I’m part of “The Many and the Shameful.”
I’m not cut out to be a marine. I’m not a fan of boats.
When it comes to swimming—I’m like Michael Phelps.
When it comes to boating—I’m like Edward J. Smith (Captain of the RMS Titanic, which sunk, killing over 1,500).
I’ve never jet-skied either, but I assume if I were to jet-ski, I would scrape against an iceberg in the mid-Atlantic (same reason for the RMS Titanic’s sinkage-incident) and accidentally kill 1,500 people on board (it’d be a titanic jet-ski—also, “titanic” is used as an adjective here, so it’s lowercase).
I’ll go on boats—don’t get me wrong—but don’t let me drive the boats, unless you want 1,500 Englishmen and Englishwomen on board to get the chop.
Until next time,
