Capitalism— the mode of production based on private ownership of the means of production.

When left to its own devices, capitalism breeds inequality, monopoly, and eventually tyranny.

This is not only the opinion of anti-capitalist economists like Karl Marx, but also the opinion of the “Father of Capitalism” Adam Smith, who once said “such regulations may, no doubt, be considered as in some respect a violation of natural liberty. But those exertions of the natural liberty of a few individuals, might endanger the security of the whole society, are, and ought to be, restrained by the laws of all governments.”

Unfortunately, however, as we have seen over the last hundred years, multinational companies still manage to squirm their way out of even the strongest government regulations.

The takeover of our government by the ruling class is inevitable and, with union membership in decline, many politicians are not only bought by these wealthy corporations but are also themselves rather wealthy individuals.

The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few unearned individuals.

This is why I have joined the #YangGang. If we’re going to have to live under the fascistic, hairless rule of Jeff Bezos, we might as well make a couple of bucks along the way.
