I’m a pretty manipulative person, which is a huge plus, because I LOVE manipulating people.
More often than not, I use my skill for the common good, particularly in ways that make people feel better about themselves. Occasionally, however, I find ways to manipulate people into behaving in ways that benefit me alone.
I never manipulate people negatively, but I definitely find ways to award myself a little treat from time to time.
How do you think I ever get Stephen to write his posts for The Daily Clot? I certainly can’t say “hey Beave, please write a post,” because that doesn’t work. Instead, I need to become Frank Abagnale Jr., and say something along the lines of, “what’d you do on your train ride?” He’ll usually respond saying that he took a nap, to which I’ll say, “you slept? You didn’t work at all? You should get some work done on the train instead. Sleep is for home.”
The next day, Stephen will have a full post written after his train ride, which I’ll quickly edit to eradicate all his grammatical mistakes (he makes a BUNCH).
Yeah, I just love manipulating.
Until next time,
