You know, I “get” electric cars. It makes sense. They’re quiet, eco-friendly, and overall have more potential than gas-powered cars can offer.

That being said, I want to see something done before we continue upgrading to electric cars.

Why haven’t we added propellers to cars yet? I want to see a propeller on either side of every car.

Can you imagine how quickly cars will travel? Of course, the new size will take up an additional lane to accommodate the extra space, but our cars will look incredibly futuristic.

Also, what about wings?

I want to see Nintendo 64’s Rush 2049 taken to “real-life 2019.”

Cars should have retractable wings that allow for gliding capabilities. I’m not sure how we would enact this, or how we would use it, but in my experience, it’s better to have something and not need it than not have it and need it.

Imagine this: you’re driving on a narrow road along a steep canyon in Arizona. A massive truck heading towards you enters your lane. You’re forced off the road. You smash through the shoulder and begin your descent to certain death. After sensing free-fall, your vehicle instantly ejects a tremendous wing on either side. You now have the ability to control your car’s motion IN THE AIR, though only for a few seconds because there’s no safe place to land in this scenario. The circumstances of your “last huzzah” are somewhat returned back to you, because the car’s wings allow you to glide wherever you want, that is, UNTIL the inevitable crash kills you and your whole family, leaving behind your entire inheritance to “Ronny,” your father-in-law. Everything you’ve worked for—your Bachelor’s Degree, your MBA, your long career full of 100+ hour weeks and super late nights, all those hours spent behind your desk instead of with your family—all so that “Scrawny Ronny” could inherit everything. And Ronny’s not even that scrawny—you just had difficulty coming up with a good-enough insult to refer to him as behind his back, so you went with “scrawny Ronny” because it kind-of somewhat sort of rhymed.

Until next time,
