I think I’m going to get a customized license plate, and its purpose will be a tremendously specific one.
I want my license plate to summon tears to the eyes of a very specific group of people.
The plate will read, “RIP GAIL.”
Allow me to explain—have you lost a very close member of your family named “Gail?”
Most likely, you haven’t.
Unfortunately for a very infinitesimal group of mourners, however, as well as a few Gails themselves that have passed on to the next life, some people have indeed suffered at the loss of a woman named “Gail.”
Fortunately for me, I haven’t lost someone close to me named “Gail” (score!), so this doesn’t even apply to me.
When I drive around, however, I’m bound to eventually cross paths with someone who lost a family member/friend named Gail, and when they see my license plate, they’ll cry their eyes out.
Those who have mourned or are currently mourning a Gail, you’d better steer clear (literally), or else you should be prepared for a good old fashioned “mourning session,” as I like to call it.
Until next time,
