For those of you who still have no idea that I go to school in Brooklyn, this sentence has officially brought you up to speed. You’re now up to speed.
Most people in the country who end up going to college don’t go to college in Brooklyn, but those who do (the few and the not-really-so-proud-but-not-really-ashamed-either) gain some valuable street smarts.
Unfortunately, this means encountering the strangest of the strange on New York City streets.
This past Tuesday, there was a knife fight at 8:30 AM just a few blocks from my school.
A knife fight.
At 8:30 in the morning.
On a Tuesday.
It makes you wonder—what life choices could possibly bring you to the point where you start fighting people with knives on a Tuesday morning in broad daylight? What small adjustments could you have made to your morning routine to AVOID getting into a knife fight at 8:30 AM on a Tuesday?
Until next time,
