Aunt May once said, “with great power comes great responsibility.”
I’m not so sure about that.
I don’t think that, just because you’re genetically more inclined to possess exponentially more power than your peers, you must be a martyr for the sake of civilization.
Elon Musk is incredibly intelligent. This, in modern terms, qualifies as “great power.” By Aunt May’s logic, Elon also has a responsibility to use his intelligence for objective good, ideally helping the planet he inhabits by improving our technology and drastically reducing the effects of global temperature-rising.
I disagree with Aunt May completely.
Just because Elon maintains unbelievable potential and ambition does not mean he needs to sacrifice how he spends his own time to appease the masses. There’s no real responsibility, except perhaps to himself, but that’s already a given.
Luckily, Elon already enjoys how he spends his time helping the world, so this nonexistent “responsibility” would have been fulfilled regardless of its existence.
You know, Stephen was supposed to write The Daily Clot today. He hasn’t written one in probably a month. He had 2 separate flights over the last week and didn’t write a single post on either of them. This is getting ridiculous. I have other work to do too, you know. Bloodclot Films is just one of many schemes I’m working on. I have plenty of other ventures that I need to spend time on. Of course, I want Bloodclot Films to be successful, but I’m starting to feel like a martyr to the clot.
I have no responsibility, except to myself. I’m not doing it for Stephen. I’m not doing it for my employees. I’m not doing it for Bloodclot.
I’m doing it for me. None of you matter.
We only have like 2 or 3 daily readers anyway, and I’m fairly certain that’s just me checking in to update the site.
Until next time,
