Why is my MetroCard made of PAPER?
Who decided PAPER was the best route to go for an object that’s constantly getting impatiently shoved in and yanked out of wallets with such ferocity?
We should’ve gone with hard plastic, similar to that of the credit card.
Right?
Look, you’re already paying a $1 fee every time you buy a new credit card, and what do you have to show for it? A piece of paper.
Gimme gimme gimme that much-desired durability that’s only attainable through hard plastic credit card materials.
We’re not asking for much. Plastic must be one of the cheapest materials on the planet considering its tremendous over-abundance.
Paper kills trees.
Plastic makes good MetroCards.
