My shoes are turning white from the salted streets.
To our equator-adjacent readers who don’t know what I mean by this, when snow falls, people throw salt on it to make it taste better.
Anyway, I’ve been walking through that and the salt is seriously deteriorating my black sneakers.
I guess I don’t really care anyway—I spent $15 on this pair of sneakers. I’m not really a “shoe-guy.” I only have one pair of sneakers. I don’t need more than that, and anybody who claims they do is lying. I’m just surprised at the salt’s ability to pull a stunt like this off; that’s all.
