Who decided the light switch up and down was a good idea?
Wouldn’t it make more sense if there were just an “on” button and “off” button, both clearly labeled as such?
Sometimes, you get a sh*tty electrician, and what happens then? You get a light switch where “up” is really off and “down” is really on. How frustrating!
Eliminate the confusion with two separate, clearly defined buttons, ideally huge rounded red buttons—this adds some dramatic flair when smashing the lights on or off.
We’re illuminating our houses like the pilgrims, damn it.
